Riley & Saunders Socks

I wasn’t sure about trying socks but thought I’d have a go. This pattern was great. I usually struggle with written patterns but after a bit of encouragement I just did exactly as the pattern said. I made a few mistakes as I interpreted it my way instead of just trusting the pattern, I’m absolutely delighted with my socks but my husband has taken them as I’ve promised him socks for years. He gives them 5 stars, comfortable and very warm. I’ll need to make another pair for myself

I have always been envious of knitters having all the fun with their beautiful sock patterns, and assumed that crochet just wasn’t up to the task of creating a comfy and well fitting sock. I stumbled across this sock pattern and was dubious at first... surely a crochet sock would feel like walking on lots of tiny knots? How very wrong I was! The pattern was easy to follow and broken into sections so it’s possible to pick up and put down without forgetting what part of the pattern you are working next. In almost no time at all I had a beautiful pair of socks! They are pretty to look at and comfy to wear, super soft and warm on my feet. The pattern comes in a choice of sizes and so you can create socks for the whole family. Measurements are given to help create a sock that fits tight to the foot and so can be worn with shoes. I have only tried the 4ply version, but am looking forward to trying the DK socks next. If I could crochet faster I would make a whole drawer full of these beautiful socks! My eyes have been opened to new crochet possibilities, and I can’t wait to try more of the crochet project’s other sock patterns.
