Manipulating crochet stitch patterns using tracing paper

Manipulating crochet stitch patterns using tracing paper
Here's a quick tip for you. If you have a crochet pattern you like in chart form but you need to make a few changes here is a simple method. Tracing paper is great for manipulating crochet stitch patterns.
If you have a pattern that does roughly what you want but you need to make a few alterations to it, you can overlay and trace the bits you want to use then draw in the changes.
It's also amazing for working out how to do pattern rotations, to work lace into increases or decreases. Trace what you need then flip it on the axis and trace again.
I like to use washi tape to stick it to the page to stop it slipping around.
