Lake Of Menteith Shawl
This shawl uses fan motifs to create its wide, narrow shape and open
drape. It’s worked in my favourite colour combo of blues, greys and
chartruse, to reflect the moody, rainy summer that it was made in.

Wingspan: 182cm/72in
Depth: 66cm/26in
Materials
1x 50g skein Quince and Co. Tern (4ply, 75% wool, 25% silk, 202m/221y/50g) each in:
Col A - Petrol
Col B - Beach Glass
Col C - Kelp
Col D - Stonington
5mm (US H/8) crochet hook
Tension
Each motif measures 15cm/6in x 30cm/12in using 5mm hook (or size
needed to achieve tension)

Basic crochet stitches, working in rows, increasing, joining motifs on.
Construction
Starts at the bottom with 3 adjoining motifs and then builds up in rows
from there. The motifs are joined as you go, with outer edges using foundation stitches where there is no motif to work into. Please use the schematic for colour and motif placement.
This pattern is charted and written using standard UK crochet terminology (with US conversions given in the abbreviations)
