Sea Urchin Hat

Sale price$5.99

This quick hat is an inside-out project, worked with the wrong side facing to maximize the cute puffs that burst from the center. Worked in a double knit weight yarn on a 5mm hook and with an easily memorized pattern, you’ll have this stylish beanie on your head in no time at all. The beautiful drape comes from the silk/camel blend yarn, but would also work well in alpaca or bamboo blends.

Great hat for those of us with big hair.

I am not usually a hat person as I have thick curly hair and end up looking silly.
However, this hat is the perfect design as it does not attempt to flatten the hair rather sitting on it.
As a make it is a very clear pattern that quickly develops into a lovely rhythm of crocheting.
It is also an incredibly quick make - around 3-4hours, great for that emergency gift.
Finally I have been complimented on how unusual and flattering the shape is.
A five star pattern in every way.
