My personal Elysium

I admit it - I don't pay enough attention to names etc. when I browse pattern collections. Hence, the pattern had always been the Elysium Cardigan in my mind - and it is, indeed, a garment of perfect happiness. The pattern is so easy to understand that I found it equally easy to adapt the original pattern to my own ideas (I have changed the sleeves and button band). I absolutely love my cardigan and cannot wait to use the pattern as a basis for other creations.

My Favourite Garment Pattern

I made this cardigan with a beautiful hand dyed merino cashmere yarn. It is my favourite garment pattern to crochet! I couldn't put it down! It turned out beautifully and the fit is perfect! I finished it off with some tiny handmade glitter buttons! The pattern is written clearly and concisely and a joy to make.

My first crochet garment ♥️♥️

I’ve crocheted since childhood and never made a crochet garment... until now. I love the fit of this cardigan, and it’s a lot cosier than I initially anticipated. I’m going to make another longer one I think, because I’m so pleased with it. The pattern is straightforward and neat in its construction, but fits really well, and I lengthened the sleeves and they’ve given me the most beautiful balloon sleeve. Love love love!

The reliable cardigan !

At first I thought it was a good cardi to wear with skirt and dresses. But finally I wore it with everything. At least once a week !
The pattern is a really great pattern : very easy to follow and to adjust as you go. For example I lengthened the sleeves and increased a bit the width of the cuffs. I have long arms. As regards the body of the cardi, I had nothing to modify because everything was ok.
I was several times complimented about this cardigan and people were often surprised to know that it was a CROCHETED garment !!!!!
After over two years I’m always pleased to wear it. It’s always as beautiful as in the begining.
Finally I would say it’s a basic and even afordable for beginers.

my first cardigan from the crochet project

From beginning end this cardigan was a joy to make. A really easy stitch pattern that worked up incredibly quickly and because progress was so good it kept me reaching for 'just one more row.Create sleeves caps with short row is genius . the result very effective .
